e-Academy Information

The AACC Bookstore is pleased to announce that because of special license agreements with Microsoft and Adobe, AACC is able to offer its students, staff and faculty a selected number of Microsoft and Adobe software titles at significant discounts. Faculty and staff can also purchase media for work at home. To get additional information or to make a purchase, please access our e-academy website. (E-Academy)

What is available?

· Faculty and staff can purchase various titles under the Work at Home (WAH) agreement. With this program, only the media is purchased and the employee agrees to use the software at home for college-related purposes only. Spouses, friends and family are not to use the software and software is to be removed when the employee terminates employment with the college. The media cost for WAH is approximately $20 (shipping and handling is extra).

· Students, faculty and staff can purchase a license and media at reduced rates under the Student Select agreement. MS Office Professional Plus 2007 is approximately $90 (shipping and handling is extra); this is more than 50% below educational pricing. With this option, the individual owns the license and the software can be used indefinitely and for personal use.

How does e-academy work?

· Open the e-academy website (E-Academy) On your initial entry, you will need to register using your college eMail address.

· Register and Authenticate - The website will require the student, faculty or staff member to input their AACC eMail address. Students are to use their @mymail.aacc.edu address and faculty/staff @aacc.edu. After entering your eMail address, e-academy.com will send a message with your password to your campus eMail. You will be a registered user after entering this password in e-academy.

· You select whether you want to purchase via Work at Home or Student Select and you select the software title(s) you wish to purchase. The site lists the available titles and prices.

· Payment and shipping - Payment is made using a valid Visa or Mastercard. You request the shipping method and address.

· Management of licenses - Purchasers will be required to accept Microsoft’s or Adobe's terms and conditions. e-Academy tracks and manages all purchases, licenses and usage.
