WELCOME TO DIRECT DIGITAL ACCESS AT AACC!
Direct Digital Access is a program that
provides each registered student with the required course materials in a low
cost digital format. Your course materials will be available to you directly
through Canvas. Providing your course materials to you directly in a digital
format is a much more cost effective approach and has been adopted as part of
the college’s textbook affordability efforts.
An additional benefit of the Direct Digital Access program is that every registered student in the class will
have access to the course materials for the first scheduled class meeting. You will no longer need to purchase a textbook from the bookstore and you will have
access through Canvas to your course materials 3 days prior to the start date of the class. The Direct Digital Access fee will be applied to your student
account (semester bill).
If you do not wish to participate in the Direct Digital Access program, you must opt out using the opt-out link in Canvas for your class
before the opt-out date. If you opt out, a credit in the amount of the Direct Digital
Access fee will be applied to your student account and your access to the
digital course materials will be removed. If you opt out, you are still
responsible for acquiring the course materials from an alternative source.
